How to Carve Characters in Wood
Published in Paperback by Wood Carvers Supply (June, 1972)
Author: H.S. Anderson
Average review score:

An informative treatise on carving interesting characters
The author recounts his life's work of wood carving. Although he has done other types of carving, his main interest is in human and animal characters. The accompanying photographs depict work that is whimsical and/or are caricatures. This down to earth author has a firm grasp of the techniques and tools of the trade, including how to make some of them. I consider this book to be quite inspiring. A must-read for anyone who loves wood.

How to compete successfully in real estate investing; a guide to exploring and understanding the factors that affect values

author review
Eventhough this book was published in 1973 and has been out of print for many years, I am still surprised occasionally when someone runs across a copy of it. It presents a "street smart" approach to real estate analysis for investment and finance purposes.I have used this approach in my own business successfully in numerous states in the years since the book was published. I have found that even with the amount of data avalilable in todays market that many times the data is wrong having been gathered from brokers or others with a vested interest or from unreliable word of mouth sources. This technique still works. If you come across a copy of the book-I hope you find it profitable. Gordon J. Anderson 12/27/99.

A great how to manual
For those thinking about treading the water as a trading company or for those who work in the industry, this book is absolutely superb at offering specific case studies and detailed resolutions for each case. It includes even the faxes and email communications that happened verbatim, and certainly gives one a level of understanding of the complexity involved in moving goods between countries. Worth the time for anyone interested in international trade.

How to Play Music by Numbers
Published in Paperback by Hansen House (June, 1985)
Author: Carl Anderson
Average review score:

Piano by Numbers
This book is extremely helpful for anyone learning to play the piano. It begins with easier songs like "Mary had a little Lamb" and then moves on to more difficult songs. It also has many Christmas songs that anyone who can even hum them would be able to play them almost instantaneously. It took me a few practice runs befor I could play some of the tougher songs but still the book is worth checking out.
